Zentiva Signs New Contract with Data3s for Logistics Services

Under the new contract, Data3s will continue to provide services in support of the Logistics Department of Zentiva N.V. and parent company Sanofi-Aventis.
The project, which began last year and is expected to continue until the end of 2010, provides a variety of development and support services on behalf of Zentiva, including the integration of Zentiva's back office and logistics systems with those of Sanofi-Aventis.
The project started in May 2009 when Zentiva requested the creation of a unified operational data source (data warehouse) common to all Zentiva logistics systems.
Data3s responded by creating a single consolidated DB which was able to collect, clean and validate data from multiple sources.
The new unified system provided by Data3s has eliminated the need for manual data entry while effectively addressing inconsistencies and duplicities.
Following last year's take over of Zentiva by Sanofi-Aventis, the project expanded to include integration and alignment with SA's own SAP R/3 back office system.
Data3s prepared analysis of both Zentiva's and Sanofi-Aventis' logistics data requirements and established new streamlined processes for cleaning and validating data.
Under the terms of its new contract, Data3s will service and maintain the system for the next year while developing a new B2B system which will function as a portal for customer interaction.
The new B2B system, which is set to replace an older system currently in place, will streamline customer order processing and provide a portal for direct communication with buyers. The system will also come with an interface for monitoring status of order flow.
